Komari Lighthouse Surfing

The Lighthouse in Komari is located 21 km north of Arugam Bay. You can park on the road outside of Beach Hut or inside of Beach Hut. There are signs along the road that will point you in the right direction. You can access the beach to the surf break by walking through the Beach Hut Property. There is a restaurant at Beach Hut which has excellent rice and curry. The point is named after a destroyed Lighthouse in the era of war. The ruins of it are still visible.

The surf is a right-hand beach break. It’s one the shortest surf points in the Arugam Bay area, but you may get more wave time as it’s a more remote surf location. The point usually starts working later in the season around June.
